Uprising

Filed under: Uncategorized — namelessneed @ 8:57 am

I found this wonderful work from Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer
this morning, please look in on her fine blog http://ahundredfallingveils.com/

A Hundred Falling Veils

Speak to me soft
in a voice so low that I lean in,

and speak to me in idioms
of night. Let’s lose any lens

that condemns. Let’s forget
any tongues that speak in

blades or claws. Speak awe.
Speak yes. Speak song. Translate

my fear into tenderness.
Converse in amber.

Converse in ice melt clear.
Speak quietly. Speak near

in tones that I more feel
than hear. Speak broken.

Speak wing. Let’s mislay our will
to judge. Let us be uncaged, untethered,

let us be light, fluent in warmth
in greening, in spring. And let

us be lighter than that. And lighter.
Speak in nothing. In the morning,

let’s give everything away.

‘What!  You too?  I thought I was the only one.’”

“A LITTLE SHY AND A LITTLE RUM”

“THERE ARE SUCH A LOT OF THINGS THAT HAVE NO PLACE IN SUMMER AND AUTUMN AND SPRING. EVERYTHING THAT’S A LITTLE SHY AND A LITTLE RUM. SOME KINDS OF NIGHT ANIMALS AND PEOPLE THAT DON’T FIT IN WITH OTHERS AND THAT NOBODY REALLY BELIEVES IN. THEY KEEP OUT OF THE WAY ALL THE YEAR. AND THEN WHEN EVERYTHING’S QUIET AND WHITE AND THE NIGHTS ARE LONG AND MOST PEOPLE ARE ASLEEP
— THEN THEY APPEAR.”

– TOVE JANSSON, MOOMINLAND MIDWINTER

the night fills book shelves

of newselves

and ghosts ancient that go silent

after you dare to glare it down.

the night fills full boxes

of hoaxes

all honest, bold-faced hazy facades

and full frontal epiphanies

SHARD OF A YARDSALE CROCK

In a time near

She’ll go & throw things.

I’ll no way go for that.

More  so  there

If so, those things

Are peculiar earthenware,

Procured  way  back; From a dirt road driveway

We had lost track,

But that time

We found an offbeat

Item of beauty

For our trouble.

.

Now, our trouble

Costs,

In a time near,

The last lines are crossed/

It is Photofinished/Developed/

Without help/Engulfed

Within an embroiling stew;

W/one part  consequence

W/one part  tipped imbalance

W/one part psyche impatience

& a dollop of overdue.
