HALCYONDER

This  season

The storms  staid off

Or didn’t  set in

I needn’t pack  sand bags

Nature spared me  the necessity

To save myself from flood

Rendezvous At Raddisons

Every session
She’ll sit side by side
Then  settle  back
An old start on a new bed
.
Every second
I’ll awaken, I’ll newly recollect, I’d
Nearly be taken back  by
An old start upon a new bed

People Built of Words

Tenacious She

So looking to pick
up the stoic bundle once again

when it’s there and it’s put there by
such romantic stuff or chemical interference

it’s rough to remember
all asunder
how to put the down

and pull thru with the thinnest
glass shelled beauty
can not resist
a woman built of words.

THE LITTLE BOY LOST

.

.

.

“Father! father! where are you going?

O do not walk so fast.

Speak, father, speak to your little boy,

Or else I should be lost.”

.

The night was dark, no father was there;

The child was wet with dew;

The mist was deep, & the child did weep,

And away the vapour flew.

SUSPECT

What were they thinking

I’m not to leave town

I’m a faceted test pattern blinking

Personas of interest renown

Only to the powers that be

.

Ok I get cagey occasionally

Ok yet I remain w/the reminder

Of stoic stands that been

Lost, inconsequential,

Cost monumental to just a man

anguish/renewal

It’s the quicksand edge of a rain squall

It’s a sick man on the ledge of it all

It’s the shore shifting in a violent fright

In a midnight storm

In a maybe might/

A long winter before the glint and glimmer

of words onto daybreak’s birdsong,

When enough renewal’s  been suffered to,

Enough burning and churning and yearning

has been laboured through

( from 12/06)

“Mental anguish always results from the avoidance of legitimate suffering.”
― Stefan Molyneux
