Read Much? Wednesday

Filed under: Uncategorized — namelessneed @ 11:50 am

What Are You Reading Wednesdays can be a game almost better than television. To participate, open your current read to page 34 and answer the three questions listed below. If you have a blog, feel free to leave a link down in the comments so that others can visit and see your post. If you don’t, just leave a note with your answers.

The Questions are:
1. What’s the name of your current read?

2. Go to page 34 in your book  and share at least one complete sentence.

3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?

.

  1. “Traveling Sprinkler” a novel by Nicholson Baker
  2. “I talked to a man from North Platte,Neb. named Ed Saulsbury.who restored traveling sprinklers. Back before I got distracted by the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, I was going to write a poem about Ed, and I bought two very interesting vintage sprinklers on eBay. I wrote part of the poem and then I put it away, and then a few months ago, I thought i’d call Ed and see how he was doing, and it turned out he’d died in 2007. He’d been a utility pole climber, servicing power lines.”
  3. Sure, why not? He’s a kookier poet than me but, why not?
