Honestly, I'm a Liar, & Other Balances & Imbalances

April 19, 2013

Naturally

Subjectively,

It’s some joker at work,

Seen at the first sink  in the industrial men’s room

Finding it funny to call out a hollowy comment on

Animal shitting sounds that must happen there;

“All right down there?”

Very peculiar POV

.

It’s a locker room loon at work who

Starts with minimal confirmed facts on the latest outrageous public violence

And formulates (or cyberRightgurgitates) convoluted conspiracy.

And Armed  antiGovt  Fearinsecure suggestions

I hate their naturally  peculiar POVs

CATCH & NOTICE

Moments ago my big ole moon goes

right gauze-skirting inside a night cloud

Once I see this,  honestly,

It’s a black & white flicker

It’s a late, late, late show. It’s “The Letter”

“I walked With A Zombie”, “The Third Man”,”Cat People”.

Something is going on

Like under a magicians hankerchief

Something is gonna happen

We go darker into shadow

&  It’s Eminent  &  Soon

If we should  just  catch & notice

god’s shiny icon in a guaze skirt

FREE FROM THE FIX (I can find myself in)

Court fans helped cool it all down.

They  called  it

On account of a hung jury.

Collective  unconscious,

Jung’s blurred things,

His thinking slurred all the town.

The thing is, I’m thinking,

Not “It’s a hot July”,

As the massive Law’s doors

Miss and swing by and behind me,

But “It’s way tres’ cool for a hot July.”

It’s not been my story  to take inventory/

It’s  I can’t even fake  worry

About what I have, What I would want/

I suppose  I could pose  but I can’t/

It’s  said/

An  unexamined  life

Is  good  as  dead/

I said/

A body afloat, & solid thoughts will float too, y’know/

Lofty thoughts  not  caught  can ride

On all tides  High and low

ONE HANGING CHAD FOR DUMMIES

“The course of every intellectual, if he pursues his journey

long and unflinchingly enough, ends in  the obvious,

from which the non-intellectuals have never stirred.”

N O I S E

“May  our  miracles

…Not be cruel.”

I tipped my head up,

Away from my novel.

So uncharacteristic

From some televangelistic

Noise at the end of Pop’s assisted-living room.

The old & Southern bible guy

Was odd  about numbers, too.

Not magic mathematics about chapters & verse,

But worse,  what words add up to,

& seven is this

& five is that.

His numbers were different from mine.

Maybe,  I was getting it wrong.

The old & Southern crowd was all nodding.

It takes a stadium.

Maybe  ‘m

Imaginin’,

Tho’ mostly sure  that’s it.
